Approaching AREA 47

Located at the entrance to the Ötztal Valley between HAIMING, SAUTENS and ROPPEN (regions Ötztal and Imst-Gurgltal), AREA 47 is well connected to the transport infrastructure, making it easily accessible for outdoor enthusiasts from all over Europe by car, train or plane. We recommend checking your personal route/ driving directions with Google Maps.

Follow the AREA 47 signs starting at the roundabout at the entrance to the Ötztal Valley.

By car:
North: From Garmisch Partenkirchen – Imst – A12 Inntal motorway - exit Ötztal – B186 Ötztal main road
East: From Salzburg/Munich A93 until Kufstein – A12 Inntal motorway over Innsbruck – exit Ötztal – B186 Ötztal main road
South: From South Tyrol over Timmelsjoch on – B186 Ötztal main road over Sautens
West: From Vorarlberg – Arlbergpass/-tunnel – Landeck – A12 Inntal motorway – exit Ötztal – B186 Ötztal main road
 
By train:
Running time of 30 minutes from Innsbruck main station to Ötztal main station. Then by foot (approx. 30 minutes) or by taxi to AREA 47.
