Here you’ll find the most frequently asked questions (and helpful answers) about mountain biking at AREA 47 – from guided tours with MTB or e-bikes to our Bike Academy and the Indoor Bike Park.

E-Mountainbike Tours

What requirements do I need to meet for the tours?

You can find a list of our requirements and age restrictions here.

 

What should I wear/take with me?

You need sporty and weather appropriate clothing for your tour. Please make sure to bring a rain jacket and sports glasses. Shoes and gloves, as well as a jersey and optionally backpacks will be provided by us.

Is there food provided on the tours?

Depending on the tour, we will take a break where you can buy something to eat. So, bring some money along. There are also drinking fountains along the way, so water bottles are not necessary.

Can I rent E-MTBs from you?

No, we do not rent out our E-MTBs. However, you can rent regular mountain bikes from us. Feel free to come directly to our reception to rent one.

 

Can I participate with my own E-MTB?

You are welcome to bring your own bike, and our guides will decide on-site if it is suitable. However, we will provide you with the latest TREK Bikes that you can use free of charge.

Mountainbike Tours

What should I wear/take with me?

Do we take breaks during the tours?

No breaks are scheduled for our MTB Bikepark Beginner Hochzeiger tour.
For the MTB Bikepark Advanced Sölden tour, we will take a break with you, so please bring some money for that.

Do I need experience for the tours?

For our MTB Bikepark Beginner Hochzeiger tour, you must be able to ride on unpaved paths.
For the MTB Bikepark Advanced Sölden tour, you will need to have some basic bike park/trail experience.

Can I rent a mountain bike from you?

Yes, feel free to come directly to our reception to rent one.

Indoor Bikepark

Do I have to book my ticket in advance?

No, it’s not absolutely necessary. However, to be on the safe side, you’re welcome to book it in advance online, by email, or by phone.

Can I ride a skateboard in the indoor bikepark?

No, the Indoor Bikepark is reserved for our bikers.

Do I need to bring my own bike?

No, you don’t have to. We are happy to provide you with bikes on-site for a fee. If you bring your own bike, it must be in perfect condition—especially your brakes.

Can I just watch or do I always have to buy a ticket?

You are welcome to come just to watch and relax in our Chill AREA.
