Bike park course for beginners in Tyrol

Get the basics right and the adrenalin flowing.

Our MTB Bike Park Beginner Hochzeiger course may be a bike park course for beginners, but it’s not a cakewalk. Once you’re familiar with your Trek Slash 8 bike and bike gear, you get straight down to the nitty-gritty of downhill in our new indoor bike park. On our pump track and dirt flowline you’ll learn the proper body position on the bike, how to get on and off like a pro, and one of the most important skills: the correct braking technique. Our course also teaches you how to choose your lines and master the art of cornering. In addition, it includes a crash course on mountain bike fundamentals to help you fine-tune your riding abilities. You apply what you learn on the blue tracks amid the scenic Tyrolean Alps.

Undergo your baptism of fire on Tyrol’s ZirbenBike Family Trail, a single track that runs from the Hochzeiger middle station, located at 2,000 metres above sea level, to the bottom station at 1,450 metres. The track sends you down seven kilometres of manicured trail through thick forests, rocky terrain, and Alpine meadows. If you mastered this successfully, the new Hochzeiger 2.5 Trail awaits us - starting at the mountain station of the eight-person chairlift at 2500 meters and a length of approx. 4 km to the middle station. Our bike park course for beginners perfectly preps you for your first trail ride. We’ll show you how to control your speed and limit risks on the trail and leave the rest up to you. Once you’ve safely made it down the track, give yourself a pat on the back: you made it! Now you’re ready for the next level of bike park lessons in Sölden, or you can venture out on one of our guided trail rides in the Ötztal. But before that: take off those sweaty bike clothes, wash off the dirt, and enjoy our Water AREA attractions – they are included with every guided beginner bike park tour.
