AREA 47 Rafting Imst Gorge in Tirol

Brace yourself for the wild waters of the Imst Gorge! This is the ultimate intro to rafting in Tyrol.

First, our guides at AREA 47 in the Ötztal will brief you and give you all the gear you need. Then we set off together with a boat and buddies! Look forward to the river of your dreams, where you and your crew battle the rapids!

Meeting Point & Schedule

The meeting point is the AREA 47 Outdoor Base – please arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour starts
After check-in, you’ll receive a safety briefing from our certified rafting guides
We’ll then provide you with the complete rafting equipment
From there, our shuttle takes you to the starting point in the Imst Gorge (approx. 15 minutes)
The tour takes you through the famous Imst Gorge to Haiming
After the tour, we’ll take you back to AREA 47
Please allow around 3 hours for the entire experience, including check-in, gearing up, transfer and the tour

You are always accompanied on the river; all our tours are exclusively guided by certified professionals.

Equipment & Packing List

Swimwear and towel

All equipment such as a wetsuit, shoes, helmet, and life jacket is provided. On-site, you’ll find changing rooms, lockers, and showers.

Requirements & Weather

Good swimming skills
Good physical condition
Minimum age: 14 years | Maximum weight: 130 kg
Up to age 15 only with an accompanying adult

The tour takes place in all weather. For unsafe conditions, a replacement date will be offered.
