The bouldering area at AREA 47 awaits you right next to our climbing tower on the bridge pillar – and the best thing is that it’s included in the admission to the Water AREA! Free, free-fallin’

You can let off steam to your heart’s content in our bouldering area: if you fall, you fall – at jump height onto comfortable mats and crash pads, which are also cushioned by the gravel they lie on.

The highest climbing tower in Austria

Next to the Boulder Cave, Austria’s highest climbing tower rises 27 metres into the sky on the bridge pillar. For this, you’ll need a ticket and experience in lead climbing. Not got a partner? An auto belay line’s got you.

Feeling a bit rusty, or lacking the right equipment? You can hire all the equipment you need directly at the Water AREA for a small fee.

Any questions?

Do we need a ticket?

If you already have a ticket for the Water AREA, the Boulder Cave is free of charge for you. If you only want to go bouldering, you can purchase your ticket at the Water AREA ticket counter.

Can I rent shoes from you?

Yes, you’re welcome to rent shoes from us. A rental fee is payable at the Water AREA ticket counter.

Can we book a guide?

You are welcome to go bouldering on your own. We do not offer a guided tour for this.

How difficult are the routes?

We have 59 different routes ranging in difficulty from 1 (easy) to 6 (very difficult), so there should be something suitable for everyone.
